Vietnam, Russia to promote strategic partnership

Russian leaders are pleased at the development of the Vietnam-Russia strategic partnership and will continue to promote close cooperation with Vietnam to boost bilateral ties for the cause of development and modernisation of the two countries.

Russian deputy Foreign minister Alexei N. Borodavkin emphasized this at a reception for his Vietnamese counterpart, Nguyen Quoc Cuong, in Moscow on February 22.

At the meeting, Cuong conveyed prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s letter to Russian PM V. Vladimir Putin, which mentioned some important contents to strengthen the Vietnam-Russia strategic partnership in the future.

Deputy FM Borodavkin said it showed a special mutual trust between the two countries’ leaders.

The two deputy FMs exchanged views on multilateral and bilateral cooperation issues.
