Vietnam, Poland to boost agricultural cooperation

Vietnam and Poland should further boost cooperation in agriculture as the two countries have products that meet each others’ needs, yet are not in competition with each other.

Vietnam-Poland Enhancing Economic, Cultural and Sport Cooperation

Both host, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung, and his guest, Polish Agriculture Minister Marek Sawicki, agreed on this view at a meeting in Hanoi on Dec. 4, during Sawicki’s current working visit to Vietnam.

Deputy PM Hung expressed his hope that the visit would contribute to enhancing the traditional relations between the two countries.

He thanked the Polish Government and people for their support to Vietnam in its past struggles for national unification, as well as in the current effort for development. He noted Poland’s preferential loans to Vietnam as being a prime example of their commitment.

Accompanying Minister Sawicki are representatives of Polish enterprises operating in agriculture, visiting Vietnam to study business and cooperation opportunities.

He expressed his hope that as a member of the European Union, Poland would be a gateway for Vietnamese goods to the EU.
