Vietnam launches website on capital Hanoi in Japanese

Vietnam launched here Tuesday a website which provides information about its capital city Hanoi in Japanese language at http://jp.hanoi.vietnamplus.vn.

The website is jointly developed by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Hanoi People’s Committee.

At the launching ceremony, VNA Deputy General Director Ha Minh Hue said the website is aimed at introducing Vietnamese capital to Japanese readers and it meets the desire of Japanese who are interested in Hanoi.

The Japanese ambassador to Vietnam Mitsuo Sakaba said the website helps Japanese people find information about Hanoi and its 1,000-year establishment anniversary. It is one of the most effective ways to bring Japanese people to Hanoi.

The website contains information about Hanoi in general and the 1,000th anniversary of its establishment. It is expected to be constantly updated in the future to provide the information to the readers. The 1,000th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnamese capital city Hanoi is to fall on October 10 this year.- Xinhua
