Vietnam holds great potential for logistics

Vietnam has great potential for developing the logistics sector, said David Yokeum, Chairman of the WCA Family of Logistics Network Association at a meeting in the southern economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City on February 21.

David Yokeum said WCA and leading logistics companies in the US and Europe highly value the potential of Vietnam’s logistics market.

Vietnam is placed 53rd among 155 economies in the ranking table of the logistics sector, according to a World Bank report.

The meeting, the largest annual logistics conference ever held in Vietnam, has contributed to manifesting Vietnam’s development potential and created opportunities for foreign logistics companies to inquire into the market and paved the way for partners to cooperate with the country in the future.

The WCA annual meeting, which is taking place from February 20-27 with the attendance of 1,600 professional logistics companies from more than 160 countries and territories, will create favourable conditions for transport agencies to exchange ideas, improve relations and open new and stable cooperation opportunities for the future.

In the framework of the meeting, many enterprises are expected to sign contracts estimated at a total of US$100 million. – VOV
