Vietnam gold price slips to below 44.3m dong/tael
At 9:25 am local time today Tuesday October 18, the local gold price slipped about 100,000 dong from late yesterday to below 44.3 million dong a tael (1.2 oz).
Accordingly, the SJC gold price in Hanoi was traded at 44.05-44.27 million dong/tael (buying-selling price), down 100,000 dong per tael. In HCM City, the SJC gold price was sold at 44.25 million dong/tael.
The Rong Thang Long gold price of Bao Tin Minh Chau also dropped 60,000 dong to 44.15-44.4 million dong per tael (buying-selling prices).
The SBJ-Sacombank gold price was traded at 44.11-44.29 million dong/tael (buying-selling), down 50,000 dong per tael.
In comparison with last weekend, the domestic gold price slipped slightly by 20,000 dong per tael.
At 9:30 am local time, the spot gold price on Kitco floor was at $1,670.1 per ounce. According to the forex rate at Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Vietcombank-VCB), the local gold price is higher than the global counterpart by 2.1 million dong per tael.
