Vietnamese footwear companies are expected to earn between $600,000 and $1 billion from exports for the rest months of this year, to meet its target for $6.2 billion in 2010, said the Vietnam Leather & Footwear Association (LEFASO VN).

The association was cited by the Vietnam News Agency as saying that domestic footwear factories have run at their full capacity to meet already sign contracts.

Vietnamese firms exported $4.6 billion worth of footwear in the first ten months of this year, meeting 74% of the year’s plan, the LEFASO VN said.
