Vietnam companies reported importing only 1 tons of gold this week

Vietnam companies are reported to have imported only 1 tons of gold out of a total quota of 5 tons of gold imports licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam.

SJC –Sai Gon, PNJ, DOJI, Vietnam Agribank Gold Corporation, and 6 other banks got a nod to import 5 tons of gold, valid until August 31.
Vietnam Television quoted a source saying that there will be only about 1 ton of gold arriving to Vietnam by this Friday. Some companies are scaling down their gold import due to price volatility and low spread between local and global prices. – Stoxplus.com
