Vietnam-Australia steel firm produces 2.2M tons to date

Vietnam-Australia Steel Joint Venture (Vinausteel) has produced 2.2 million tons of steel after its 15-year operation in Vietnam.

The company based in the northern port city of Haiphong has had a total revenue of VND17 trillion and paid taxes of VND900 billion since 1995.

Vinausteel has raised its investment and capacity of its steel plant to $40.02 million and over 200,000 tons of steel per year from the initial of $12.7 million and 180,000 tons.
