Vietcombank earns profit of 986b dong in Q2

Vietcombank reported it gained 2,687 trillion dong in net interest revenues during the second quarter of 2011, a year on year rise of 7.5%.
In which, the services brought 446 billion dong to the bank, 2-fold growth compared with the same period of 2010. But securities business and investment created a loss of around 14 billion dong from the revenues as the activity remained modest.

Q2 net profit of VCB was posted at 986.33 billion dong, decreasing 7.83%.

Thus, in Jan-Jun, VCB gained nearly 2.421 trillion dong in aftertax profit, up 13.23% against more than 2.138 trillion dong of one year earlier. – Vietbiz24
