US company keen on Vietnam

Avalon Waterways, a US river and small ship cruises company, plans to list the Mekong river tour as one of its international destinations.

This was announced by Avalon Waterways’ marketing director Steve Born at a press conference on May 16.

He said his company is building a ship capable of carrying 32 passengers for the Ho Chi Minh City- Xiem Reap route scheduled to open in early 2012.

Last week Hotels.com, another US company that provides online hotel booking, started operating in Vietnam and Indonesia. – VOV
