Turkish firms join business forum in capital

The Viet Nam-Turkey business forum takes place today in Ha Noi with the participation of 50 large Turkish enterprises.

The firms operate in a wide range of sectors including electronics, construction materials, manufacturing, garments, automobile and components.

The Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry described the event as a good chance for enterprises to foster trade information exchange and establish new partnerships. Such moves would accelerate bilateral relations between the two countries, the chamber said.

During their visit to Viet Nam, the business delegation also participated in the fifth meeting of the Vietnamese-Turkish Joint Economic and Trade Committee.

Two-way trade was estimated to top US$1 billion last year but this was still far below the two countries’ potential, the chamber said.
