Tran Anh Aureos plans 12,000sqm retail centre

Tran Anh Aureos plans to build a new 12,000 square metre retail centre in Mo Lao-Ha Dong Urban Area and widen business operation to HCM City in 2011.

Under the signed contract on July 29 between Aureos Capital and Tran Anh Digital World JSC (TAG), Aureos South-East Asia Fund (ASEAF) invested $4.2 million in Tran Anh, becomes strategic partner of the company, and owns 18.5 percent individual issued shares of this firm.

According to Tran Anh, apart from capital investment, Aureos will have strategic supports for the company’s development in the future. With mobile capital, the company plans to build12, 000 square metre-trade centre in Mo Lao-Ha Dong urban area and put into operation in the third quarter, 2011 as well as expands its business area to HCM City in 2011.

Aureos Capital, an international fund management invests on small and medium enterprises in developing countries, consisting of over 50 new emerging markets in Asia and Africa, Latin America. Aureos manages 16 regional funds with total capital of over $1.2 billion at present.

In South-East Asia, the fund set up Aureos South-East Asia Fund (ASEAF) to invest in small and medium enterprises in Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Mekong river sub-area, including Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

On July 29, TAG signed an agreement in principle for financial advisory cooperation with Saigon Commercial Bank
(Sacombank-SBS). Under it, Sacombank-SBS will become official advisory unit and develop capital mobilisation on stock market for Tran Anh development, guide and support the company’s re-structure, member companies and financial advisory. – CafeF
