Trading value on HNX sees lowest since March 2009

VN Index today Thursday July 7 returned to gain 1.69 points or 0.39 percent to 429.99 pts. The total trading value reached 463.3 billion dong, including 228.17 billion dong of negotiation transactions mainly for VNM and STB. Thus, matching order trade reached only 235 billion dong, lower than 237 billion dong in the previous trading session, marking the lowest trading value since May 2009.

Of the group of three shares with largest market capitalisation, MSN reached the ceiling price, VIC gained 2 points whereas BVH slipped 0.5 points.

STB reached the biggest trading volume with over 1.9 million shares being transferred. STB ended with a gain of 200 dong to 13,000 dong per share. STB also reached nearly 4.2 million shares being traded via negotiation transaction at floor price of 12,200 dong per share for a total of 51.16 billion dong.

STB reached total negotiation transactions of over four million shares at floor price for the sixth sessions, bringing the total volume in six trading sessions to 24.5 million units worth 290.33 billion dong.

BGM of Bac Giang mineral firm hit the floor after reaching the ceiling price by early the trading session. The total trading volume also increased to 853,000 units, ranking at the third on the floor.

HNX Index today witnessed the second consecutive fall to 73.04 pts. The market saw 70 gainers, 159 losers and 64 standing still at the reference price.

The total market trade reached 16.72 million worth 188.8 billion dong, marking the lowest level since March 16, 2009 (125 billion dong).

Most of key stocks decreased by 0.2-0.5 points such as KLS, VCG, PVX, VND, BVS and PVG, of which, KLS led the market in terms of trading volume with over three million units.
