Tourism revenues estimated at 62tr dong in Jan-Jun

The country’s tourism revenues reached 62 trillion dong during the first six months of 2011, rising 17 trillion dong against one year earlier, the Thoi Bao Kinh Te Saigon newspaper reported, citing data of General Department for Tourism.
There have been more than 2.96 million arrivals of foreign visitors to Vietnam so far, growing by 18.1% year on year, the head of general department Nguyen Van Tuan said. In which, 17.5 million arrivals were locals.

Average time of residence of international tourists to Vietnam is 10.5 days with average spending of $1,024 per passenger (after deducting airfare). The international visitors who stay for long time in Vietnam come from Australia, Russia. – Vietbiz24
