Thermo power plant posts 60b dong of profit in first six months

Nguyen Tho Tiem, spokesman of Ninh Binh Thermo Power Joint Stock Co (coded NBP) has gained total revenue of 320 billion dong, and pre-tax profit of 60 billion dong in the first six months of this year.

The company’s representative said that in the coming quarter, the business situation may get better because Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) Group planned to reduce the electricity output from thermo power plants, including NBP. The company planned to repair and make maintenance services for the whole equipment of thermo power plant to make preparation for the high-peak season, starting from Q4.

Therefore, the company’s electricity output may reduce in July-September period.
