The 2010 Quang Ninh Int’l Trade and Tourism Fair Coming Soon

As part of the Ha Long Tourism Festival, the 2010 Quang Ninh International Trade and Tourism Fair will be organized as an important event to popularize the image of Quang Ninh – a dynamically developing province. As scheduled, this fair will be taking place from April 30 to May 5 at the Children’s Cultural Palace in the city of Ha Long.

The fair will present various kinds of products and tourist sites as well as reputable tourism companies of Quang Ninh province to domestic and foreign visitors. Themed ‘Exchange and Cooperation for Mutual Development’, the fair will have about 150 stalls. It will present socioeconomic achievements of Quang Ninh and other localities and popularize the brands and special products of districts and towns in Quang Ninh province. The fair will help local companies strengthen their reputation and develop their brands. Tourism companies will have a chance to advertise themselves to attract more domestic and foreign customers.

Participants in the fair will include companies of Quang Ninh and other localities, the embassies and trade offices of some countries in the region. Nguyen Thi Lieu, the deputy director of the Quang Ninh Department of Industry and Trade, the deputy head of the fair organizing board, said that quality products of clear origin will be sold at the fair to meet the growing demand of local consumers in Quang Ninh province as well as tourists. The fair will comprise three areas. The first area is to present economic achievements of Quang Ninh province and other localities, the results of trade promotion as well as the business results of foreign invested and joint-venture companies. The second area is for tourism companies to introduce themselves, and the third area is for trading companies throughout the country.

There will be stalls presenting special products of each locality in Quang Ninh province, for example ceramic and porcelain products made in Dong Trieu district, clean vegetables and seafood products of Yen Hung district, and fine handicrafts made in the town of Cam Pha. Present at this fair, Quang Ninh’s products such as Tien Yen chicken, Cai Rong, Dai Yen fish sauce, Binh Lieu vermicelli made of arrowroot, clean vegetables grown by the Tien An Cooperative, Cai Lan vegetable oil and Van Don pearl will become more popular among consumers./.
