Thailand one of Vietnam’s top ten biggest investors

A conference on the relationship between Thailand and Vietnam was jointly organised by Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Thailand’s Thammasat University on September 21.

The conference discussed the development of the two countries’ relationship in politics, economics, culture, society and education as well as their multilateral ties within the ASEAN bloc and at regional forums.

Thailand is now among in the top ten out of the 100 countries investing in Vietnam, with a total capital of more than US$7.5 billion. The two countries are expected to raise their two way trade turnover from over US$6 billion to US$10 billion in the next few years.
