Thai business expands market in Vietnam

The Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Thailand has said it is increasing its investment and distribution of building materials in Vietnam.

At present, the group is operating 12 companies in Vietnam with a total investment of over US$320 million, creating jobs for more than 1,500 workers.

Its well-known products in Vietnam, including coloured tiles, ceilings and bathroom accessories branded Cotto, are expected to help the company to gross US$12.8 million this year.

Additionally, the group also promotes the investment in building the Long Son Petrochemical Complex with a total investment of more than US$4 billion in the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau. – VNA
