Supermarket stockpiles food for price stabilisation

HCM City’s Trade Co-operative Union, Sai Gon Co.op, plans to stockpile 10,000 tonnes of food in order to stabilise the domestic price market for the 2011 Lunar New Year under the price stabilisation plan of the municipal People’s Committee.

In line with the plan, Sai Gon Co.op will stockpile 2,200 tonnes of rice, 500 tonnes of sugar, 1,000 tonnes of cooking oil, 2,900 tonnes of meat, 400 tonnes of processed food and more than 2,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables.
