Stock market starts new week with slow trading


Vietnam’s stock market continues to witness another gloomy trading session when closing the trading session today April 4, the VN Index lost another 1.92 points or 0.42 percent to 457.25 pts and the HNX Index tumbled 0.95 points or 1.04 percent to 90.1 pts.



On the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC), the total trading volume including matching order trade and negotiation transactions reached more than 24.11 million shares worth over 528.31 billion dong, rising 8.26 percent in volume and 12.26 percent in value from the previous trading session.



On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the total market trades reached over 20.47 million shares valued at over 311.82 billion dong, falling 9.71 percent in volume and 7.2 percent in value from the last trading session.



At the time of closing the trading session today, there were 63 gainers and 165 losers on STC and 61 gainers and 207 losers on the northern bourse.
