Steel price continues to increase from March 14

From March 14, Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Corp (Tisco) continued to raise the steel price by 100,000-200,000 dong per tone for some types of products.

Thus, within only half of March, Tisco has made three adjustments up on the steel price. The first was made on March 1, the second on March 4 and the third on March 14.

According to the latest price list, the steel selling price at manufactories is ranging around 15.7-16.65 million dong per tone (excluding value added tax-VAT).

Particularly, the price of rolled steel is 16.3 million dong per tone, increasing 200,000 dong per tonne against the previous price list on March 4.

And the price of steel bar is at 16.45 million dong per tone, rising 100,000 dong per tone.

From early this year so far, a series of large manufactories raised the selling price of steel for many times. Of which, the strongest increase was seen at Vietnam Steel Corp’s HCM City office with four raises on steel price totalled at 2 million dong per tonne.
