Steel exports total $427m in five months

The domestic steel enterprises earned US$427 million in steel export turnover in the first five months of the year with a volume of 550,000 tonnes, an increase of 244 per cent in value and 250 per cent in volume over the same period last year.

In the past months, foreign-owned enterprises have produced and exported laminated rolling steel as the price of exported steel surged, according to chairman of the Viet Nam Steel Association, Pham Chi Cuong.
