Singapore firm to run hi-tech healthcare park
The Singapore-based leading private healthcare group in Asia Parkway Health has been chosen to operate the under-constructed hi-tech health park in HCM City’s Binh Tan District.
A delegation from the largest health corporation in Singapore, headed by deputy chairman Goh Jin Hian, son of former Singaporean Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, visited HCM City and the park last Friday.
The representatives met with the project’s investor, Hoa Lam – Shangri-La Healthcare Ltd Co.
The corporation’s leader announced that Parkway Health has been chosen to manage and operate the hi-tech health zone.
At a meeting with other parties of the project, HCM City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan said the country’s largest hi-tech healthcare park was on track and would be completed by 2012.
The US$770 million project on 42 ha of land was scheduled to include two hospitals, an institution for medical sciences and technology, a three-star hotel with a conference centre, a dorm for experts and patients’ family members, a trade centre and an international primary school.
The company expected to complete the first phase of the project, a 250-bed hospital, this year.
The second phase was to be included in 2017, with a total of 1,700 beds and services for 45,000 boarding and 30,000 non-boarding patients a year . — VNS
