Seoul Welcomes Hospital Management Asia with 535 Delegates from 26 Countries
The ninth annual Hospital Management Asia (HMA) commences on August 19 at the Grand Hilton Seoul, Korea with 535 delegates from 26 countries representing 180 hospitals. This is the first time that HMA is being held in North Asia.
Consistent with its educational mission, the two-day event features 4 plenary and 35 special interest sessions by 45 speakers and moderators from 11 countries.
Dr. Sang-Cheol Sung, President of the Korean Hospital Association did the opening remarks.
An integral feature of the HMA is the Asian Hospital Management Awards (AHMA), honoring hospitals for their best hospital practices. AHMA garnered 281 entries representing 58 hospitals from 10 countries. The 28 finalists will be presented and the winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner and Award ceremonies on August 20 at the ballroom of the Grand Hilton Seoul.
HMA 2010 is presented in cooperation with Joint Commission International, Korean Hospital Association and Asian Hospital Federation. It is organized by Exedra Events, with the participation of Johns Hopkins Medicine International and International Hospital Federation.
