Samsung Vietnam expects $1.9b export

Samsung Vietnam Electronics Ltd Co (SEV), the operator of mobile phone factory in Bac Ninh province, targets to gain $1.9 billion from exports this year.

If the company’s target comes true, the total export turnover of this mobile phone production factory will be $3.5 billion since the first operation (April 2009) in Yen Phong industrial zone, Bac Ninh province.

Till the end of 2010, SEV’s export turnover reached $1.6 billion.

With a total investment of $670 million, SEV is the first mobile phone production factory in Vietnam. In its development strategy till 2015, SEV will continue to expand the production for other technical and electronic products. In the future, SEV will be allowed to open a multiplex zone with large scale and diversified products such as camera and vacuum cleaners. – TBKTSG
