Quan Trieu cement plant starts operation

Quan Trieu Cement Joint Stock Co, under Vinacomin Viet Bac Mining Industry Corp, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group (Vinacomin) officially put into operation the Quan Trieu cement plant yesterday in Thai Nguyen province.



The cement plant has designed capacity of 2,000 tonnes of clinker per day or 820,000 tonnes of cement per year.



Quan Trieu cement plant, with total investment capital of 1.5 trillion dong would help raise cement production capacity of Vinacomin – Viet Bac Mining Industry Corp to 3 million tonnes per year.



When in stable operation, Quan Trieu Cement JSC was expected to make contribution of 25-30 billion dong per year for the provincial state budget, creating jobs for 350 local labourers.
