The 6th International Processing, Filling and Packaging Exhibition (ProPak) and the third International Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Instrumentation, Laboratory and Scientific Equipment Exhibition (PIA) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on March 23.

The exhibitions, held at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Center, are jointly organized by Thailand’s Bangkok Exhibition Services (BES) and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Exhibitions Company (Vietchamexpo).

The events drew the participation of 243 enterprises from 28 countries and territories, which are showcasing the latest equipment and technological solutions to costumers as well as discussing cooperative and investment opportunities with Vietnamese partners.

Director of Vietchamexpo Bui Thi Thuc Anh said the exhibitions are an effective business forum for participants to exchange information and seek development opportunities, adding that they will help boost Vietnam’s technological market.

BES Director David Aitken spoke highly of Vietnam’s potential and said he hoped the total value of contracts signed during the exhibitions would reach $55 million.

The exhibitions will run until March 25. – VIR
