Profits of rubber companies increase sharply in Jan-June
In the first half of 2010, the rubber producers reported gaining significant profit, in comparison with the same period of last year, thanks to the sharp increase in latex price.
In details, in the first six months, Hoa Binh Rubber Joint Stock Co (coded HRC) exported and sold 1,850 tonnes of latex at an average price of 56.5 million dong per tonne, up 29.1 million dong per tonne or nearly twice as much as the same period of last year. As the result, the company’s H1 pre-tax profit was estimated at 47 billion dong, equalling to 77.8 percent of the year plan and up 22 billion dong year-on-year.
Similarly, the others rubber firms shared the same positive achievements.
Tay Ninh Rubber Joint Stock Co (coded TRC) reached accumulative pre-tax profit in Jan-June of 87.9 billion dong, while Dong Phu Rubber Joint Stock Co (coded DPR) estimated to gain total revenue of 300 billion dong and pre-tax profit of over 100 billion dong in first six months.
