President Triet welcomes investors in high-tech zones

Viet Nam is gearing up to be a sustainable development economy with priority given to developing high-tech zones, President Nguyen Minh Triet said yesterday.

He told Nidec Group president Nagamori Shigenobu at a meeting that Viet Nam was creating favourable conditions for high-tech zone projects.

Triet applauded the group and its president for their commitment to building a high-tech zone in HCM City.

He said he wanted the group and other investors to continue investing in Viet Nam and to be successful.

Triet said he was delighted at the rapid development of co-operation with Japan in the past years, and applauded the Japanese Government for its official development assistance.

In reply, Shigenobu briefed Triet about the high-tech zone project developments and said the group was committed to implementing the project on time this year with an investment of US$500 million. – VNS
