Philippines to offer discount tours

The Philippine government is working with 10 Vietnamese travel companies to develop a US$368 four-day shopping tours from Ho Chi Minh City to Manila.

The tours will be available in March and April at Saigontourist, Viet travel, TST Tourist, Fiditour, Carnival Tour, Blue Sky Travel, Ben Thanh Tourist, Saigon Travel, Eden Travel and PNR Travel.

The price includes a round-trip ticket, airport transportation and a 3-night stay and breakfast at a hotel.

This new package is part of the Philippine government’s efforts to promote Philippine tourism in Southeast Asia.

Vietnam in particular is an attractive market as the number of Vietnamese tourists to the Philippines has increased in recent years.

Last year, for instance, around 15 million local tourists visited the Philippines, a 30 percent increase compared to the year before. – Tuoitre
