Overseas Vietnamese invests in 122 projects in HCM City

So far, People’s Committee of HCM City has granted investment certificates for 122 projects of overseas Vietnamese with a total pledged capital of over $260 million, of which, the capital contribution of overseas Vietnamese was $153 million.
In 2010 alone, 15 projects received investment license capitalized at $2.6 million, of which, the capital contribution of overseas Vietnamese was $1.1 million.

These projects mainly focus on three key sectors including processing and manufacturing industry, real estate and information and communications, accounting for over 90 percent of the total investment.

In addition, the investment of overseas Vietnamese has also been being expanded to other fields such as healthcare, education, science and technology, construction, transport, warehouse, wholesale and retail, vehicle repairing, social supports, art and entertainment activities.
