Online labour market continues growing
The online job market in Vietnam in the third quarter of this year continued the growing trend of 2010 with the increase of 7 percent in labour demand and 12 percent in labour supply in comparison to the previous quarter.
The VietnamWorks, an online recruitment solution provider in Vietnam, on November 15 released its employment indicator report, which also said that the third quarter’s online labour demand increased by 34 percent year-on-year and online labour supply rose 27 percent.
In the reviewed period, civil construction, accounting/auditing, banking, electrical/electronics and mechanical were in the top five industries demand list.
For the last three quarters, among the top functions, including sales, accounting/finance, administrative/clerical, IT-software and marketing, only the labour demand in marketing kept growing. In the third quarter, the demand for talent in marketing grew by 5 percent compared to the second quarter, while labour demand for other key functions in an organisation like sales, accounting/finance dropped and administrative/clerical and IT-software remained flat.
This increase in demand for marketing professionals was explained by the fact that the competition in post-recession required companies pays more attention in the market activities.
Regarding the online labour supply, the top five functions list of the third quater included accounting/finance, administrative/clerical, human resources, customer service and sales. All these functions gained the increase from 10 percent-19 percent compared to the previous quarter. – VOVNews
