Ogilvy & Mather Vietnam wins Sony’s full electronics portfolio

Sony has handed Ogilvy & Mather the creative account for its full portfolio of electronic products in Vietnam following a pitch that reportedly involved Dentsu Alpha, Lowe and incumbent Leo Burnett.

The agency is charged with overseeing the creative business for brands including Sony’s Bravia TV, Cyber-shot camera and Play Station range.

Sony launched its Play Station PSP 3 in January.

According to the agency, Vietnam’s consumer electronics market is estimated to be worth US$4.4 billion in 2010 and expected to increase to $6.8 billion by 2014. The sector includes computing devices, mobile handsets and video, audio and gaming products.
