Nokia recommends using Vietnamese software for handhelds

For the first time a Vietnamese software appears in the top applications recommended for use by Nokia on its Ovi Store website.

Vietnam Socbay iMedia is a special version for Nokia Ovi cell phones designed by Naiscorp Vietnam.

According to Nokia, nearly 40,000 users have downloaded this software from Ovi Store within a short period of time, with around 230 downloads a day. As a result, Socbay iMedia has become the first Vietnamese software for mobile phones introduced to users by Nokia.

NaisCorp Vietnam’s marketing manager Do Tuan Anh said this is an honor and surprise for Vietnamese software designers.

This software was uploaded to Ovi Store on June 10, 2010. In the first 20 days, Socbay iMedia had 28,000 users.

According to NaisCorp, there are always 2500 online users of Socbay iMedia, with over 10,000 hits per day. Tuan Anh said that there are several different software for mobile phones that reach numbers this high.

2,500 online users at any given moment is a big number because Socbay iMedia has several versions for Nokia Ovi, Samsumg Bada, and HTC.
