New trend of retail market in HCM City

Savills Vietnam Co has lately conducted a market survey about movements of domestic retail markets. The results showed that centre of HCM City are still considered the top priority of retailers. The average rental for retail space stayed at stable level of about $85 per month.

The company forecasted that the retail markets in HCM City would be expanded to suburb areas. Especially, the retail space in Dist 7 was expected to count for 30 percent of future supplies. In 2010, there will be about 100,000 square metres of new retail space to be put into operation, and over 400,000 square metres from 2012 onwards.
