Natural latex export increases in first four months

The general Department of Statistics showed that in Q1 of 2010, Vietnam exported 123,000 tonnes of natural latex, valued at $325 million.

In April only, the export value of natural latex was estimated at 324,700 tonnes, worth $94.14 million, raising the total latex export volume in the first four months to 155,750 tonnes for total value of $419.48 million, up 10.6 percent and 005.6 percent against the same period of 2009.

The price for natural latex has increased sharply since January up to now because of harsh weather conditions, in addition to the fact that demands for latex in import markets of China, Malaysia, India surpassed the supplies.
