Nam An securities broker posts 2010 revenue of only 500m dong


Nam An Securities Joint Stock Co has recently announced the audited business results in 2010 with total revenue of only 495 million dong and a loss of over 6 billion dong.

In the broker’s total revenue in 2010, the securities brokerage operation contributed over 200 million dong, investment and capital contribution at 3.3 million dong, consultancy service at 500,000 dong and other revenue at over 283 million dong.

In previous two years, the broker also posted low revenue of only 1.5 billion dong in 2009 and 6.9 billion dong in 2008. In three consecutive years, the broker posted loss of 57.9 billion dong in 2008, 500 million dong in 2009 and 6.1 billion dong in 2010. The company’s chartered capital is 140 billion dong.

Ending 2010, 20 of more than 100 securities companies posted losses in business operations, of which, Nam An Securities Co posted the lowest revenue. In 2009, the total number of losers was up to 60 mainly because of the securities self-trading operations.
