Moit: power supply to be secured in June

Power supply is forecast to be stable in June, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

The stable power supply is attributed to copious water flows to reservoirs and the official operation of new power plants.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoàng Quốc Vượng said that the Ministry asked the Electricity of Việt Nam (EVN) not to cut electricity supply in June.

MoIT will mobilize input materials, including FO or DO, for power generation to meet requirements of socio-economic development and daily life, he added.

The power output in the first five months is estimated at 43.088 billion kWh, an increase of 10% against the same period last year.
