MIC gains 11.69b dong revenue in Jan-Feb


Ending February 2011, Quang Nam Minerals Industry Joint Stock Co (MIC) reported gaining 11.69 billion dong of revenue, or 1.5 fold increase against the same period last year.

Of which, especially, the output of sand processing reached 2.3 times and silica flour reached 2.5 times over the same period last year.

Basing on the satisfactory business results on mining operations at Kalum works, in Kalum district, Sekong province, Laos, (in December 2010 and early January 2011, the company earned over one billion dong), during the last half of February, 2011, the company’s leaders worked with related agencies in Sekong province to continue to invest in the 100 hectare gold mine in Dakchung, Sekong province.

Reportedly, in 2010, the company posted 85.91 billion dong revenue, a year-on-year rise of 8.19 percent and after tax profit at 8.16 billion dong, falling 18.2 percent y-o-y, equalling to the earnings per share (EPS) at 4,110 dong.
