Making Nui Coc Lake into national tourism area

The Thai Nguyen provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony on June 25 to announce the zoning plan for creating the Ho Nui Coc national tourism area until 2020 with a vision to 2030.

Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai praised the zoning plan, saying it follows the State’s regulations and provides incentives for investors.

Mr Hai said that the plan opens a new period of development for Thai Nguyen in the next decade and will help the province tap its potential for tourism and economic restructuring.

He asked the province and investors to take appreciate measures to protect the environment and surroundings of the Nui Coc Lake tourism area.

On this occasion, Thai Nguyen issued regulations on managing construction and preserving and developing the 89 islands in Nui Coc Lake.

The province also granted first phase investment certificate to 10 businesses investing in Nui Coc Lake tourism area, with a total registered capital of nearly VND9,645 billion. – VIR
