Long An province April CPI soar 5.46%, highest ever

The consumer price index, a measure of inflation, in Long An province rose 5.46% on month in April , the highest ever, the province’s GSO said.

In April, good prices rose 6.14% while service prices rose 3.38%, the local newswire dvt.vn reported April 19.

All baskets of goods and service posted higher prices in the month. The highest price increase was seen in transport fee, up 7.8% on month while the slowest increase was tele-communication sector,up 0.36%.

In the month, gold price fell 1.73% while dollar prices edged up 0.1%.

Long An posted Jan CPI at 1.12%, Feb at 2.5%, March at 1.81% and April at 5.46%.

The index was up 10.76% from last December with good prices rose 12.3% and service prices rose 6.11%, the local newswire dvt.vn reported April 19. – Stoxplus.com
