Korean firm wins expressway project tender

The fifth bidding package for North-South Expressway project of HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay was handed over to Pumyang-Sungjee Construction Co, South Korea by Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corp (VEC). The total value of the bidding package was posted at 670 billion dong.

The fifth bidding package included construction work on expressway running through districts of Long Thanh and Cam My, Dong Nai province with total length of 13.9 kilometres (from km23+900 to km37+800), funded by Asian Development Bank.

In the first phase of the bidding package, the contractor will build the expressway with road surface of 27.5 metres wide, including four lanes and two lanes for urgent stop with standards for Expressway Level A and designed speed of 120 km/h.

The construction is supposed to be completed after 32 months. – Dautu
