Korean firm wins bidding for expressway project

Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corp (VEC) has handed over the bidding package No 6 of constructing 17.1 kilometres of traffic road running through Dong Nai province, under the HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay express way project to South Korea-based Hashin Construction Co. The bidding package has total value of 1.139 trillion dong, using ODA loans offered by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and counterpart capital of VEC.

The road would run through two districts of Cam My and Thong Nhat, Dong Nai province, with starting point of Km 37+800 and ending point of Km 54+983. Hashin Co expected to finish the contract within the period of 32 months.

The 55-kilometre HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway project has been co-funded by ADB and Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica). Up to now, four over six bidding packages have been handed over to qualified contractors.
