Accordingly, JICA will speed up the implementation of key projects, such as Nhat Tan Bridge, the remaining approach road to Thanh Tri Bridge and belt road No.3.

In addition, work on the second phase of the water environment improvement project will also be accelerated.

JICA will provide assistance to improve the urban transport network in Hanoi, especially the Hanoi urban railway project – Route No.1 (from Gia Lam district to Giap Bat) and Route No. 2 (from South Thang Long area to Tran Hung Dao street).

Tsuno Motonori, JICA Chief Representative in Vietnam, said that apart from the State budget and ODA, it is essential to mobilize investment from the private sector according to the model of public-private partnership (PPP).

He revealed that JICA will sign loan agreements for two projects – one to build a new terminal at Noi Bai International Airport and another to build the Noi Bai-Nhat Tan expressway in March.
