Int’l Cement Technical Symposium Opens in Central Vietnam

The Vietnam Cement Association (VCA) and the Asean Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM) organized the 22nd international symposium on cement technique in the central city of Danang April 28.

Seventeen scientific reports on technical solutions on energy saving, productivity raising, and environment protection were presented at the event entitled “Green productivity in the Cement Industry.”

The two-day symposium drew participation of nearly 500 representatives of large cement producers and equipment suppliers from Asean members and others.

An exhibition with 41 booths displaying advanced technical solutions for the cement industry was also held during the event, providing opportunities for cement producers and equipment suppliers to exchange their latest techniques and technologies in cement production.

Vietnam is forecast to produce 50 million tons of cement in 2010, 86 million tons in 2015 and 100 million tons and 110 million tons in 2020.
