Int’l technology fair slated for August

A Red River Delta Technology and Equipment Fair (Techmart) will be held in Quang Ninh province from August 6-9, according to a press release in Hanoi on July 27.

The fair aims to strengthen co-operation between scientific and technologic organisations with domestic and foreign businesses, and accelerate transfer of technologies and products to create competitiveness, boost development capacity, promote commercialisation of research products and develop the technological market in the Red River Delta region.

The fair will attract 40 research institutes, scientific and technological centres and universities, and 19 provincial departments of science and technology as well as 71 businesses, showcasing 840 technologies, including 18 stalls offering 35 technologies and equipment from China, Ukraine and Israel.

During the fair, there will be three seminars: science and technology to support socio-economic development in the Red River Delta region, the application of radiation and radio-active isotopes in socio-economic development and the dissemination of information about aquaculture technology. These will be a forum for managers, scientists and businesses to exchange experiences in dealing with difficulties and find measures to promote the potential and strengths of the Red River Delta.
