Housing and Urban Development Group to debut next week

The Vietnam Housing and Urban Development Holdings (HUD) Group will make its debut on March 24 following the Prime Minister’s decision, says the HUD Company’s General Director, Nguyen Dang Nam.

The Group is comprised of 4 businesses under the Ministry of Construction, namely Hanoi Construction Corporation (Hancorp), Vietnam Building Glass and Ceramics Corp. (Viglacera), Bach Dang Construction Corp. and Vietnam Water Supply Sewerage and Environment Construction Investment Corp. (Viwaseen).

The HUD Group is tasked with regulating Vietnam’s real estate market and widening its new urban area, providing a successful model for other localities nationwide.

It aims to gain the strategic goal to supply 8-10 million sq.m of houses for residents through 2015 and actively take part in building policy and social security programmes.
