Hoa Phat group’s profit estimated at over 500b dong in Q1 2011


In Q1, 2011 Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Co (HPG) expected to gain over 500 billion dong profit, equaling to 27 percent of the year’s plan, According to Tran Tuan Duong, HPG’s general director.

Duong said his firm’s after tax profit in Jan-February reached 350 billion dong and it would be over 500 billion dong in Q1 2011, fulfilling 27 percent of the year’s figure.

For the whole year, the company expected to gain 1.865 trillion dong of profit.

Duong added 2011 is the second year HPG applies the new business strategy namely focusing on industrial production, of which, the company will consider the steel manufacturing as the core sector and real estate and mineral as the foundation for the development.
