Hoa Phat Group exceeds profit target, plans to issue bonds

Hoa Phat Group (HPG) earned VND664 billion (US$36.3 million) in October, bringing its ten-month earnings to over VND6.48 trillion ($354.4 million), or about 91 per cent of the target for the entire year.

Its net profit reached VND100 billion ($5.5 million) last month, bringing profits in the first 10 months of the year to over VND1.14 trillion ($62.7 million), a total that exceeds the target for the year by 25 per cent.

The company has also announced a plan to issue convertible bonds worth a total of VND1-1.6 trillion ($54.6-87.4 million).
