Hanoi to have Vietnam’s largest tourism pier

Hanoi will build a pier in West Lake in July to gather all the floating houses and boats here, vice president of Hanoi’s Tay Ho (West Lake) district, Thai Van Ha (in charge of construction sector), told with VTC News recently.

As planned, the pier with a floor area of 3,000 square metres and 1.5 hectare of water area will be built in Dam Bay, Nhat Tan ward, Tay Ho district, under the construction of a Vietnamese enterprise.

The initial costs will be from the state budget and then the investment capital will be recovered from businesses.

Tuan Anh, deputy director of the district’s land area development centre, said the estimated investment capital for this project would be about 12 billion dong. Once finished, this will be Vietnam’s tourism pier.
